Board of Health Functions
- The Board will prepare an estimate of the cost of maintaining the Health Department for the ensuing fiscal year, and also the amounts of money that may be available from the unexpended surpluses from grants or donations. These estimates shall be submitted to the Board of Supervisors on or before May 1.
- Advises the director and requests information from the Director as the Board deems necessary.
- Makes rules and regulations, not inconsistent with the rules and regulations of the Arizona Department of Health Services, for the protection and preservation of public health.
- Advises the Board of Supervisors regarding provisions, suitable offices, facilities, and equipment for the Health Department.
- Keeps minutes of all meetings of the Board.

Copies will be physically posted on Posting Boards located on the First Floor, Fifth Floor, Level A and Level B of the Pima County Administration Building located at 130 West Congress Street, Tucson, Arizona 85701.
Physical postings are accessible to the Public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except legal holidays.
