- H1N1 Vaccination Recall Information (posted 12/15/09)

- An H1N1 vaccine that was sent to a few providers in our area was found to be a slightly weaker formulation and has been recalled by the CDC. It was still strong enough to create immunity, and persons who received the vaccine have no reason to be concerned. This was a formulation of vaccine given to infants and toddlers, and all of these children should receive two doses of H1N1 vaccine as initially recommended.
There are no safety concerns to those who received the vaccine. If you have additional questions please call the Pima County Health Department at (520) 243-7800.
Additional information regarding the CDC recall and the vaccine can be found at the CDC website.
